Hydro One confirmed that it is still working to restore power to thousands of customers in Ontario after strong winds struck the province on Friday and Saturday.
The company stated that approximately 5,700 customers were without electricity across 87 outages as of Sunday morning, confirming that it has restored power to more than 135,000 customers since the strong winds began late Friday.
It added that crews were out in full force, including contractors and teams from other parts of the province, to help repair the damage.
Communities near Lake Huron and Georgian Bay experienced the strongest winds.
Hydro One also indicated that it is monitoring rising water levels in parts of northeastern Ontario that may require a rapid response.
