The General Command of the Syrian Armed Forces issued a statement commenting on the American strikes inside the country, saying, "The US occupation forces launched a blatant air aggression at dawn today on a number of sites and towns in the eastern region of Syria, near the Syrian-Iraqi border, which led to the martyrdom of a number of civilians and military personnel, injuries of others, and significant damage to public and private property."

The statement added: The area targeted by the American attacks in eastern Syria is the same area where the Syrian Arab Army is fighting the remnants of the ISIS terrorist organization, which confirms that the United States and its military forces are involved and allied with this organization, working to revive it as its field arm in Syria and Iraq by all dirty means.

It added: The aggression of the US occupation forces at dawn today has no justification except an attempt to weaken the ability of the Syrian Arab Army and its allies in combating terrorism, but the army, which was able to defeat various terrorist organizations over past years, will continue with its steadfastness and principle in defending Syria’s land and people and striking all organizations no matter how their sponsors and supporters try to impede this goal.

The Syrian army concluded its statement: The occupation of parts of Syrian territory by American forces cannot continue, and the General Command of the Army and Armed Forces confirms its continuation in its war against terrorism until it is eliminated, and its determination to liberate the entire Syrian land from all terrorism and occupation.

Meanwhile, the US Air Force announced today the targeting of 121 targets belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and supported groups in the past 24 hours.

The Air Force - in a statement reported by the US channel (Al Hurra) - stated: "The operation targeting locations affiliated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in Iraq and Syria during the past hours came in response to an attack on a US base in Jordan last week by a drone, which resulted in the killing of three American soldiers and the injury of more than 40 others by Iran-backed factions.

In response to this, the Iraqi Islamic Resistance launched an armed attack on the American base in Omar oil field in Syria, using a drone.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq stated through its Telegram channel that it confirms its continuation in pounding the enemy’s strongholds in support of the people of Gaza and in response to the killing of civilians by Israeli forces.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq’s war media published a video showing scenes of its targeting of the American occupation base in the "Omar oil field" in Syria.

On Sunday night, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq issued a statement that said: "Continuing our approach in resisting the occupation, supporting our people in Gaza, and in response to the massacres committed by the usurping entity against Palestinian civilians including children, women, and elders, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq today, Sunday, attacked the American occupation base in the Omar oil field deep in Syria using drones. The Islamic Resistance confirms its continuation in pounding the enemy’s strongholds.

In this context, American forces destroyed 5 Houthi “cruise” missiles, which were prepared for launch in Yemen.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) - in a statement - said that American forces conducted a strike - in self-defense - against a Houthi ground-launched cruise missile, in addition to 4 other anti-ship missiles that were prepared to be launched against ships in the Red Sea.

CENTCOM pointed out that the Houthi missiles pose a threat to US Navy ships and commercial vessels in the region.

Yemeni media reported that US-British airstrikes targeted Houthi positions in Yemen late Sunday/Monday night.

They indicated that the strikes hit locations in Saada governorate with three strikes, and one strike east of Saada city in northern Yemen.

They added that 8 strikes targeted the Ras Issa area in Al Salif district, and two strikes targeted Al Zaidiyah district, while one strike targeted Al Hawak district in Al Hudaydah governorate in northwestern Yemen.

He added that 7 strikes targeted Hajjah governorate, another 7 targeted Al Bayda governorate, and one strike targeted Saada.

The US Central Command published a video, saying it shows aircraft launches and missile strikes on Houthi targets.

For his part, the British Defense Minister said that the Houthi attacks on commercial and military ships in the Red Sea are illegal and unacceptable, adding that his government’s duty is to protect innocent lives and maintain freedom of navigation.
