The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism aims to participate in various global events to promote Egyptian tourism at different international forums.

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, has announced its participation in the international travel exhibition Travel and Vacation Show, which was held over the two days of April 6 and 7 in the Canadian capital.

The Egyptian pavilion was inaugurated by Ambassador Ahmed Hafez, Egypt's ambassador to Canada, in the presence of Mr. Wael Mansour, Director of the North America Unit at the Central Administration of Tourist Offices of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion.

For his part, Amr El-Kady, CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, confirmed the importance of participating in this exhibition as it is considered the most important professional exhibition held in the Canadian market, which is a good opportunity to meet tour operators and representatives of various tourism companies to promote the Egyptian tourist destination and its diverse tourism potentials, pointing out that the Canadian market is one of the most important tourism markets targeted by the ministry.

Wael Mansour pointed out that during the participation in the exhibition, a number of professional meetings were held with tour operators and officials of tourism companies operating in the Canadian market to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation to attract more inbound tourist movement from the Canadian market to Egypt. The discussions also covered the most prominent developments and advancements in the tourism industry in Egypt, in addition to reviewing the tourism potentials, styles, and products that the Egyptian tourist destination enjoys, the tourist and archaeological sites it is endowed with, and the tourist activities that can be practiced during the visit, making the tourist experience richer and more enjoyable.

It is noteworthy that the exhibition was opened the day before yesterday in the presence of ambassadors of the participating countries, in addition to the attendance of governmental, political, and parliamentary figures.

More than 150 exhibitors representing 50 countries participated in the exhibition, along with Canadian provinces and local companies, and the exhibition was visited by more than 35,000 visitors and received extensive media coverage.
