In an official statement, the Swedish police announced that a shooting incident occurred on Friday evening, at the "Emporio" shopping center, which is one of the largest shopping centers in all of Scandinavia.

The police said they will disclose more details as soon as they obtain them.

The city of Malmö is located on the southwest side of Sweden, and is connected by a water bridge to Denmark. The city is also home to a large number of refugees and immigrants of various nationalities.

In March, the Swedish police announced that two women were killed in a stabbing attack at a high school in the city of Malmö carried out by an 18-year-old student.
