Israeli media announced this evening that a number of settlers were injured in a shooting on an Israeli bus near the Western Wall in Jerusalem.
Sources reported that 9 Israelis were injured, including 3 in serious condition, in a shooting operation in occupied Jerusalem, and that the perpetrator withdrew from the site of the operation.
It clarified that the operation took place on the street west of Al-Aqsa Mosque at the Mughrabi Gate, confirming in this context that the city of Jerusalem is witnessing an Israeli security alert.
It stated that the perpetrator of the shooting withdrew from the place towards the town of Silwan and that the Israeli police are pursuing him.
The Israeli police have closed the roads in the city of Jerusalem and launched a search campaign for the perpetrator using helicopters.

Israeli media reported that the shooter in Jerusalem targeted 3 locations, firing at bus passengers, then a car, then passersby on Ma'aleh HaShalom Street.
