German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that Canada and Germany have agreed on a new package of military aid to Ukraine, including air defense systems, ammunition, and hand grenade launchers.
Scholz added in the so-called "Crimea Platform" organized by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky: "We will continue to supply weapons. We will provide Ukraine with a new aid package, including other modern air defense systems, hand grenade launchers, tons of ammunition, anti-drone devices, and armored rescue vehicles."
Russia had previously sent a memorandum to NATO countries regarding arms supplies to Ukraine, affirming that arming Ukraine from the West does not contribute to the success of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations, and will have a negative impact and lead to prolonging the conflict.
