Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the situation in the world is changing dynamically, as more and more countries and peoples choose the path of sovereign development.
This came in the Russian president's speech at the 10th Moscow International Security Conference on the morning of Tuesday, August 16, 2022, where he pointed out that the current globalization model of the world is doomed to fail, regardless of how much its beneficiaries cling to the status quo.
He affirmed that Russia will work side by side with its allies, partners, and like-minded countries to improve current international security mechanisms and establish new mechanisms.
The president also emphasized Russia's determination to strengthen its armed forces and other security structures, and to take steps that would help build a more democratic world, protect the rights of all peoples, and ensure cultural and civilizational diversity.
Putin said that the United States is trying to distract citizens from acute problems, while Western globalization elites are trying to divert the world's attention from declining living standards, unemployment, and poverty, to shift the failures to Russia and China, who defend their vision and their viewpoint of adopting sovereign development instead of submitting to the dictates of supranational elites.
