Power outage affecting 1000 homes east of York City

The power outage affected at least 1000 homes in East York this morning, Wednesday.

Toronto Hydro reported that between 1000 to 5000 are currently experiencing a power outage in East York, near Michael Garron Hospital.

The outage extends approximately from Danforth Avenue to St. Clair Avenue, between Main Street and Donlands Avenue.

The outage began just after 6 a.m., and the cause of the incident is not yet clear.

However, the company stated that crews are on the scene and power is expected to be restored by around noon.
