Charles Spencer, the younger brother of Princess Diana, is selling his country home that he purchased with his Canadian wife, Karen, in Ontario.
Spencer, who is 60 years old, bought a luxurious mansion on the waterfront of Lake Rosseau in the heart of the Muskoka countryside during the pandemic.
This was in the first fall of the coronavirus in 2020 when the wealthy turned to buying new country properties in places where they could escape the crowded cities experiencing a rise in virus spread.
The prices of these properties rose accordingly.
When Spencer bought it, the house price was $8 million, with the land costing about $1.3 million.
The modern home features high-end finishes, a billiard room, and a private balcony off the master bedroom.
The property is also for sale with the option to buy a 1,000-foot parcel adjacent to the waterfront.
The house is set on heavily wooded land, with areas of steep rocky terrain.
It is noted that Charles Spencer announced his separation from his wife in June.
Spencer's real estate agent mentioned that the family had been vacationing in Muskoka for many years.
Charles and Karen married in 2011 and have a daughter, Charlotte Diana Spencer, who is 12 years old, both of them having older children from previous marriages.
