The first round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of the State of Qatar and Canada was held in Doha yesterday.
The Qatari side was chaired by Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al-Hammadi, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the Canadian side was chaired by Mr. Alexander Lévêque, Deputy Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Europe, the Middle East, Arctic affairs, and the Maghreb at the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the political consultation round, the bilateral cooperation relations and ways to support and enhance them were reviewed.
