The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia called yesterday evening, Tuesday, for all efforts to be made to achieve an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

The Saudi Minister of Information, Salman bin Yusuf Al-Dosari, stated in a statement reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the weekly session held by the Saudi Council of Ministers chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, that "the Council of Ministers reviewed during the session the contents of the discussions and meetings that took place in recent days between the Kingdom and various countries of the world and their organizations within the framework of friendship ties and relations of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in all fields, especially those related to achieving international security and stability and consolidating the principles of development, progress, and civilizational advancement in all areas."

Al-Dosari stated that the council followed up on developments and events on both the regional and international fronts, reiterating "what the Kingdom confirmed during its participation in the meetings of the European Council on Foreign Relations regarding the importance of making all efforts to achieve an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and its surroundings and working to achieve a just and lasting peace, enabling the Palestinian people to obtain their legitimate rights in establishing an internationally recognized independent state."
