Nibal Farsikh, the media official at the Palestinian Red Crescent, confirmed that the situation in the Gaza Strip is extremely bad and tragic, and we have reached unprecedented levels of real hunger experienced by the Palestinians.

Farsikh said in an intervention on "Cairo News" channel that the entire sector suffers from a complete lack of food security, with at least 16% of children under the age of two suffering from severe malnutrition due to the lack of food and basic life necessities.

She added that the targeting of aid convoys by the occupation has hindered the possibility of humanitarian aid reaching Gaza and specifically the northern areas. She pointed out that since the beginning of the war on the Gaza Strip, the occupation has imposed a tight siege on the Gaza area and the north, and the number of trucks that UN institutions managed to deliver to the northern area is very small. Most requests to deliver food to these areas were rejected by the occupation authorities.

She explained that the situation in northern Gaza is now tragic, with a complete lack of basic life necessities, noting that hospitals have started receiving dozens of cases, most of them children suffering from severe malnutrition in addition to observing the spread of diseases and epidemics including viral hepatitis. The conditions are very difficult, and if citizens do not lose their lives due to the shelling, they will lose them due to hunger and the spread of diseases.

For his part, Palestinian President's advisor Dr. Mahmoud Al-Habbash confirmed that Palestinians are facing a genocidal war waged by the Israeli occupation amid international silence.

Al-Habbash said in special remarks today, Sunday, that the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people has exceeded all norms and bypassed international laws, emphasizing that the continued international inability to stop the Israeli war will lead to its exacerbation in the most horrific way.

He added that the provocations of Israeli settlers have not stopped and are expected to continue during the blessed month of Ramadan, explaining that these attacks will not pass without a Palestinian reaction.

He pointed out that the current Palestinian government manages internal affairs, while political matters, negotiations, and confrontation with the occupation fall under the jurisdiction of the Palestine Liberation Organization and its leadership headed by President Mahmoud Abbas, noting that the shape of the government changes but Palestinian goals and visions do not change.

In a related context, media sources revealed that the Palestinian government will submit its resignation next week in preparation for forming a technocratic government, according to Al Hadath channel.

The sources indicated that there are expectations that Investment Fund President Mohammad Mustafa will lead the new Palestinian government. Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation army announced the end of its military operation at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip since last October 7 has risen to 29,692 martyrs and 69,879 injured, most of them children and women.

The ministry added in a press statement that the toll was updated after monitoring the occupation forces committing 7 massacres in the sector during the past 24 hours, resulting in the martyrdom of 86 people and injury of 131 others.

The ministry pointed out that this number does not include victims who are still under the rubble and on the roads, and the occupation prevents the access of ambulance and civil defense teams to them.
