Chinese official media announced today, Tuesday, that the Palestinian movements "Fatah" and "Hamas" signed the "Beijing Declaration" for reconciliation, ending the division, and enhancing Palestinian unity.
The China Global Television Network (CGTN) clarified that the leaders of the two movements will meet with media representatives in Beijing on Tuesday, in the presence of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, following three days of meetings.
CCTV reported that representatives from 14 Palestinian factions will attend the meeting.
The Palestinian factions held a dialogue for reconciliation and ending the division, which has persisted since 2007, in the Chinese capital Beijing from July 21 to 23.
This is the second meeting in the Chinese capital for senior officials from "Hamas" and "Fatah," following discussions focused on political reconciliation that took place last April, and the day after the end of the Israeli war on Gaza.
