Ottawa witnessed a drop in temperatures this week, bringing them closer to seasonal averages after the country's capital experienced warmer-than-usual weather at the beginning of the month.

The Canadian Ministry of Environment reported that daytime temperatures will remain in the low single digits, with a mix of clear and cloudy skies. Nighttime temperatures are expected to drop below zero during the week, before rising above zero on Saturday evening.

According to weather data collected from 1991 to 2020, the average daily temperature in Ottawa during November is around 1.7 degrees Celsius, with the average high reaching 5.8 degrees Celsius and the low falling to -2.4 degrees Celsius. Records taken from Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport showed that the average temperature on November 12 over 74 years was 5.8 degrees Celsius as a maximum and -1.8 degrees Celsius as a minimum.
