Media sources confirmed that American billionaire Elon Musk's surprise visit to China has yielded immediate gains, as "Tesla" removed two of the main obstacles to launching its "driver assistance system" in the world's largest car market.
Bloomberg News reported today, Monday, that the American electric car manufacturer will collaborate with Chinese tech giant "Baidu" on mapping and navigation functions, to deploy what it calls "full self-driving," according to sources familiar with the matter.
Tesla has also eliminated key data security and privacy requirements in China, which will help alleviate some concerns regarding its data security issues.
These actions come after Musk, the CEO of Tesla, made an unannounced trip to China yesterday, Sunday, to seek approval for the "driver assistance program" that aims to help stop the decline in revenue for the car manufacturer.
