Southwest Quebec in Canada is preparing for snowfall this week during the long Easter holiday, following a period of rising temperatures .

Colorado low will also begin to affect the area tomorrow, Wednesday, leading to increased clouds during the day with a chance of light snow showers, and with temperatures dropping below freezing on Wednesday night, the area expects snowfall.

Montreal also expects snow accumulations from Wednesday night through Thursday, and while the snow may mix with some rain, the city could see accumulations of more than 10 centimeters.

The Canadian Environment and Climate Change agency has issued special weather data advising drivers to consider postponing any unnecessary travel.

Montreal will see the snow turn to rain on Friday, with more snow expected Saturday morning, but the skies should be clear by Saturday afternoon.
