One of Canada's biggest music festivals, the Havelock Country Jamboree, was scheduled to take place this weekend.
But instead, it was canceled for the third consecutive year. The long-running festival, which attracted up to 20,000 music lovers at a time, was canceled in 2020, then again in 2021, and now for the third time in 2022.
Many fans who paid $650 or more for the four-day festival, usually held on the third weekend of August, say this is enough and they want their money back.
Cheryl Ann Van Gennep said: "They kept pushing us out, pushing us out, then finally said it was canceled and I am very angry because $650 is a respectable amount for me and some people paid thousands of dollars."
The campground was a big attraction and celebrated its 30th anniversary at Havelock in 2019.
The dual stages have attracted big names over the years like Alan Jackson, Reba McEntire, Kris Kristofferson, Loretta Lynn, and Brett Kissel.
