The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported today, Sunday, the death of 13 citizens, including women, due to a landmine explosion while they were searching for truffles in the western countryside of Raqqa, northeastern Syria.
The observatory, based in London, said in a press statement today: "Thirteen citizens, including women from the Al-Bukhamees tribe, most of whom are from the town of Mansoura in the Raqqa countryside, were martyred due to a landmine explosion left over by ISIS while they were searching for truffles south of the archaeological area in the Rasafa desert in the western Raqqa countryside."
According to the observatory, the number of civilian deaths has thus risen to 32, including a woman and 15 children, as a result of landmine explosions and war remnants since the beginning of January, in addition to 33 injured, including a woman and 25 children.
