In June, Bieber postponed several of his shows in North America after he began suffering from complications diagnosed as Ramsay Hunt syndrome. The 28-year-old artist returned last month to continue his tours, but in his latest statement, he said that the recent tour affected his health.
"After resting and consulting with my doctors, family, and team, I went to Europe in an attempt to continue the tour," Bieber added. "I performed six live shows, but it had a negative impact on me." The singer said he felt exhausted after finishing his last show in Brazil on Monday, while reassuring fans that he would be fine and that he would take a break from the tour.
Justin continued, "After coming off the stage, exhaustion took over, and I realized that I need to make my health a priority right now, so I will take a break from touring for the time being. I will be fine, but I need time to rest and recover." Bieber also thanked his fans for their support throughout his health journey. The remaining period of the Justice World tour included 68 shows in more than 10 different countries.
The global singer was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a disease characterized by the spread of shingles on the facial nerve near one of the ears in addition to a rash. The syndrome can cause facial paralysis and hearing loss in the affected ear.
