Israeli Labor Party leader Yair Golan called today, Friday, for an end to the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip.
In a radio interview reported by the Jerusalem Post, Golan said that it is "not only fair to the residents of the border area and the soldiers, but it is also necessary."
He added: "It is not only our obligation towards the 124 hostages and their miserable families, but it is a definitive testimony of solidarity within Israeli society, and the desire for unity."
Golan continued, in a critical tone towards the Israeli government: "Why are we allowing people, whose minds are overtaken by madness, to lead the State of Israel into this nightmare?
