Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of Hamas, confirmed that the movement has received the proposal discussed at the meeting and is studying it and preparing its response on the basis that the priority is to stop the brutal aggression on Gaza and the complete withdrawal of the occupation forces from the sector.

This came as a comment on the developments related to the Paris meeting and the ideas discussed in it to stop the aggression and release the prisoners.

Haniyeh explained that the movement is open to discussing any serious and practical initiatives or ideas, provided that they lead to a comprehensive halt of the aggression, secure the sheltering of Palestinians who were forced to displace due to occupation procedures and those whose homes were destroyed, reconstruct and lift the siege, and achieve a serious prisoner exchange process that ensures the freedom of our heroic prisoners and ends their suffering.

The head of the political bureau of Hamas praised the role played by the brothers in both Egypt and Qatar to reach a sustainable ceasefire agreement in Gaza on the path to ending the aggression being inflicted on our people in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and the prisoners in the occupation prisons.

He explained that the movement's leadership received the invitation to visit Cairo to discuss the framework agreement issued at the Paris meeting and the requirements for its implementation, according to a comprehensive vision that achieves our struggling people's national interests in the foreseeable future.

Regarding the escalation and massacres taking place in the Gaza Strip, including the renewal of brutal aggression on the northern sector, the head of the movement said: The world must pressure the occupation to stop these massacres and war crimes, including the policy of reprisal that our people are subjected to in areas of the West Bank, executions, arrests, and daily raids of cities and camps, affirming that all these practices will not break the determination of our people nor their resolve for freedom and independence.

He confirmed that what occupation leaders say in their statements that their aggression and military crimes will break our resistance or force it to make concessions at the expense of our people's interests are nothing but illusions dispelled by the firmness of the resistance, which continues its work in response to these massacres against our people, as well as being dispelled by the pursuit of the occupation army and its vehicles everywhere in the sector.

In a related context, the head of the movement denounced the positions and decisions issued by the United States and some Western countries towards the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) and the suspension of their contributions and financial commitments to UNRWA instead of increasing them.

Haniyeh confirmed that these decisions came in explicit violation of the recent International Court of Justice ruling that called for increasing aid to Gaza instead of reducing it, and that these positions indicate a systematic policy among these countries to support the occupation through starving and besieging our people instead of responding to the historic court ruling and the subsequent procedures to prosecute the occupation for the crime of genocide, which we hope will target all those who support this occupation in its ongoing crimes.

Haniyeh also said: "The justifications cited by those countries for suspending their contributions are weak and do not rely on any evidence other than what the occupation provides of weak justifications and obvious propaganda aimed at pressuring the United Nations and punishing it for what it provided to the court of reports on the effects of the brutal aggression on our people and the statements of UN Secretary-General Mr. Guterres, which the International Court of Justice relied upon in its decision."

Haniyeh repeated his thanks and appreciation to the friendly South African state, which recorded a historic position in filing the lawsuit and its victory for our people who are subjected to the most heinous crimes of genocide.

The head of the movement expressed his pride in the qualitative and influential developments taking place on the resistance fronts supporting Gaza, which aim to stop the aggression, lift the siege, and bring in humanitarian aid.

The head of Hamas' political bureau denounced the attacks targeting the brothers in Lebanon, Yemen, Syria, and Iraq, and the ongoing threats to Iran, while at the same time expressing his appreciation for all the ongoing efforts and activities in the Arab and Islamic street and among the free people of the world to support Gaza and Palestine, noting the efforts the movement is following up with many brotherly and friendly countries, especially Turkey, Russia, and China.

Regarding the Israeli threat to reoccupy the Salah al-Din axis (Philadelphia), the head of the movement expressed his appreciation for Egypt's position communicated to us, which was officially expressed and aligns with the position of the Palestinian people and its resistance in rejecting any presence of the occupation army on the Palestinian-Egyptian borders, as well as foiling the displacement plan.
