The Christmas Cheer breakfast, one of the highlights of the holiday traditions in Ottawa, successfully raised $150,000 to support 31 local charities, including the Ottawa Food Bank. The event, which took place on Thursday, featured a festive atmosphere filled with music and entertainment, with local artist Cody Cayouette and special performances from groups like "OrKidstra".
The breakfast was organized in collaboration with more than 30 local businesses, aiming to combat food insecurity during the holiday season. The Christmas Cheer Foundation dates back to 1951 and continues its efforts to support families in need. Donations can be made through christmascheerottawa.com.
