The former Israeli Minister of Justice, Haim Ramon, said that the war led by Benjamin Netanyahu's government on the Gaza Strip has failed to achieve its strategic objectives.

In a post on the "X" platform, he addressed Netanyahu, saying, "Mr. Prime Minister, if the concept of responsibility has any meaning, you should resign."

He added, "When the failure in the war is widespread and significantly profound, the necessary and immediate step is to replace the Prime Minister who has failed."

He continued, "The catastrophic failure on October 7 and the devastating failure in managing the war (on the Gaza Strip) since then are doubly true statements, but this catastrophic failure is not just your responsibility; it is also the responsibility of Gallant and Gantz, the Chief of Staff and senior members of the General Staff who planned and led the military operation; they too must bear responsibility and resign immediately."

Ramon emphasized that "attacking the northern Gaza Strip and relocating more than a million Gazans to southern Gaza raised significant questions from day one, and over time it became clear that they were a grave mistake."

He continued, "After six months of war, Hamas, despite facing severe strikes, still possesses significant military capabilities. Not only that, but Hamas also exercises near-total civilian control over all parts of the Gaza Strip that the Israeli army has not entered or has withdrawn from."

He said that the illusions of "the civilian alternative," "local elements," and "the joint Arab force" have yielded nothing.

He added, "Now in Rafah, more than a million displaced people are concentrated, providing cover for Hamas brigades there, preventing the Israeli army from eliminating these brigades... You yourselves created this shield for Hamas... and two days after the Israel Defense Forces exited Khan Yunis, Hamas forces had regained control of the city."

He continued, "The worst part is that you have not achieved any of the strategic objectives of the war that you set for yourselves... You have failed to overthrow Hamas's military wing, you have failed to overthrow the Hamas civilian government, and 133 Israelis remain prisoners with Hamas... You have failed disastrously."

The minister in the Israeli emergency government, Benny Gantz, claimed that Hamas was militarily defeated in the war waged by the Israeli army in Gaza.

The Al-Qassam Brigades and Palestinian factions have launched successive strikes against the Israeli army, the latest of which was the "Ambush of the Paratroopers" in Khan Yunis, in which 14 Israeli soldiers were killed and others were injured, according to a statement from the Al-Qassam Brigades.

The Israeli army has "officially" announced the death of 604 military personnel and the injury of thousands in battles in the Gaza Strip since October 7.
