Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin said on Friday, August 19, 2022, that she underwent a drug test "for her special legal protection," after a leaked video clip of her dancing and singing loudly at a private party.
Marin defended her actions, saying she was drinking alcohol with her friends but did not use any drugs.
A video clip circulated on social media on Thursday showed six people at a party dancing and mouthing the words to a song, including Marin. Later in the video, the 36-year-old Prime Minister appeared kneeling while dancing and singing.
Marin added at a press conference on Friday, according to a Finnish newspaper, saying: "I underwent a drug test for my legal protection, and the results will appear in about a week."
