Prominent government sources told CTV News that the federal government will announce tomorrow that COVID-19 vaccine mandates for domestic travel on planes and trains will be suspended as of Wednesday.
Foreign nationals coming to Canada will still be required to be vaccinated. The mandates first came into effect on October 30, 2021, and required all passengers on planes or trains to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to be allowed to board the aircraft.
However, the government has now eased measures at the level of domestic flights and public transportation, excluding healthcare facilities and long-term care homes.
