Sky News Arabia sources reported that there are Egyptian-Qatari efforts to conclude a deal for a humanitarian truce during the month of Ramadan in the Gaza Strip, alongside ongoing efforts to conclude a comprehensive deal.

According to the sources, during this truce, about 30 detained Israeli civilians including children, women, and the sick will be released, in exchange for the release of about 100 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons. The truce also includes an increase in the entry of humanitarian aid into the sector.

According to our sources, the Egyptian and Qatari mediators are seeking for the desired temporary humanitarian truce to establish a broader agreement between Hamas and Israel.

Discussions about this truce are currently underway in parallel with the current negotiation track concerning the truce proposed from the Paris meeting, which Hamas announced it is currently studying.
