In a tweet on Twitter a little while ago, the Canadian Foreign Minister welcomed the ceasefire in Sudan, saying, "Canada welcomes the commitment of the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces to implement a nationwide ceasefire for 72 hours, starting at midnight."
Adding, "We call on both sides to fully respect the ceasefire, protect the safety of civilians, and participate in mediation efforts."
