Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that his country's upcoming budget will not include any new taxes on the middle class, but he did not comment on whether the government will impose other measures to boost tax revenues, according to Bloomberg News Agency today Thursday.
Trudeau and members of his government announced plans related to the budget that include promises to spend billions of dollars within its allocations, which primarily focus on housing.
Trudeau received a question today at a press conference regarding whether the budget would increase taxes to fulfill these commitments, he replied: "We will continue to focus on putting money in the pockets of Canadians; there are no plans to increase taxes on the middle class."
