Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly called on Israeli authorities on Monday for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

Joly stated that "Canada is horrified" by strikes that have resulted in the deaths of Palestinian civilians in a displacement camp in Rafah, emphasizing that Canada "does not support an Israeli military operation in Rafah."
