Canada condemns the attacks carried out by Hamas against Israeli targets and describes them as terrorist.
In a tweet on platform X, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stated that Canada strongly condemns the current terrorist attacks against Israel.
He clarified that these acts of violence are completely unacceptable.
He added that we stand with Israel and support its full right to defend itself.
Trudeau said, "Our thoughts are with all those affected by this, and civilian lives must be protected."
On the other hand, Opposition Leader Pierre Poilievre tweeted on platform X, "I unequivocally condemn the invasion of Israel by Hamas terrorists and the sadistic violence they committed afterward against innocent civilians."
He added, "Israel has the right to defend itself against these attacks and respond to the attackers."
He clarified, "Canadians are committed to their solidarity with all victims."
Additionally, Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly urged Canadians in Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza who have been affected by the events in the region and need assistance to register their names with the relevant authorities, stating in a tweet on platform X, "Canadians in the area affected by attacks in Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank or around it should register via the website of the Department of Foreign Affairs."
It is worth mentioning that the Canadian condemnation overlooked the Israeli assaults against unarmed citizens in Gaza.
