The authorities in northern New York, USA confirmed that most of the deaths on board a bus were due to a fatal accident involving the bus carrying Canadians and others.
Security investigations reported that the bus was coming from Montreal and overturned on the American Highway 87 in the town of Lake George. Security agencies reported the death of one person and the injury of 11 others, one of whom sustained serious injuries and is in critical condition. They were all transferred to nearby hospitals.
The Director of Public Affairs in Warren County, New York, “Don Lehman,” indicated that the majority of the deaths on the ill-fated bus were Canadians, with two others from Switzerland, and that 8 people who were on the bus managed to continue their journey to New York City the next morning.
Katherine Flack, the CEO of Fort Company “Fort and William Henry,” stated that some of the people who were on the bus spent the night they were involved in the accident at the Fort William Henry Hotel in Lake George, and waited until their personal belongings were retrieved from the police.
It is noteworthy that the New York Police mentioned that the affected bus belongs to Skyway Company.
