President Biden described himself as "the first Black woman to serve with a Black president," in his latest slip-up while he struggles to reassure voters that he is still qualified for the presidency.

The 81-year-old president made the mistake as he was struggling to find the right wording during an interview with him on Thursday on the Black radio station WURD in Philadelphia as part of his Independence Day media campaign a week after his debate performance.

Biden appeared to stumble as he described having served as vice president under former President Barack Obama before choosing Kamala Harris as his running mate.

He told his host, Andrea Lavon Sanders: "By the way, I’m proud to be, as I said, the first vice president, and the first Black woman to serve with a Black president."

Elsewhere in the interview, Biden boasted of appointing the first Black woman, Ketanji Brown Jackson, to the Supreme Court and selecting the first Black woman for the vice presidency.

However, this slip of the tongue was just one of many mistakes and blunders that Biden made during the interview – which aimed to reassure voters that his debate misstep was just a one-time bad night.

At one point, he made a bizarre claim that he was "the first president elected statewide in Delaware when I was a child."

He also claimed that he understands the struggle of Black people for representation – because he didn’t believe Catholics could become president before John Kennedy was elected more than six decades ago.

This large number of slip-ups comes as concerns continue to rise about the president's age, especially in the wake of his disastrous debate against former President Trump last week.
