The Israeli military radio stated, quoting opposition leader Yair Lapid, that there is a need to end the war in Gaza, reach an agreement, and return the captives.
Lapid added: "Israel has always been against long wars, and our army relies on reserve forces that are not suitable for this type of warfare."
Meanwhile, a correspondent from Al Jazeera reported that protests took place in front of the homes of 18 Israeli ministers, noting that a Knesset member from Likud is calling for the overthrow of Benjamin Netanyahu and his government and for a prisoner exchange agreement.
