A Chinese government delegation was prevented from attending the farewell viewing ceremony of Queen Elizabeth II's coffin, according to the BBC website.
The Speaker of the House of Commons, Sir Lindsay Hoyle, refused a request to enter Westminster Hall, where the Queen's coffin is located, due to Chinese sanctions imposed on five members of the Commons and two members of the House of Lords.
The Queen's coffin is scheduled to remain in Westminster Hall until her official funeral on Monday.
Last year, China imposed travel bans and asset freezes on nine Britons, including seven parliamentarians, accusing them of mistreating Uyghur Muslims.
This led to the barring of the Chinese ambassador to the UK from entering Parliament, a move now extended to include a delegation that wanted to pay their respects by viewing Queen Elizabeth's coffin for the last time.
British-Chinese relations are already tense. However, the Chinese Vice President is expected to attend the Queen's official funeral on Monday.
