U.S. President Joe Biden issued a stern warning today, Wednesday, about the expected Hurricane Milton, describing it as potentially "the storm of the century," in reference to the devastating hurricane that hit Florida in 1993. Biden noted that the hurricane is likely to reach U.S. territory in less than 14 hours.

In another context, Biden criticized former President Donald Trump for promoting misleading information about hurricanes and government responses, calling claims that the government controls the weather "ridiculous."

For its part, the National Hurricane Center reported that Hurricane Milton, classified as a Category 4 storm, is moving northeast at a speed of 17 miles per hour, with winds reaching up to 145 miles per hour. It also noted that water levels could rise between two to 15 feet above ground.
