The German Foreign Ministry wrote on platform X today, Sunday, that "reports coming from the Gaza Strip are horrifying, it is unacceptable to kill civilians seeking protection. The repeated attacks by the Israeli army on schools must stop, and the circumstances of these attacks must be uncovered quickly."
The ministry pointed to the severity of the suffering of women, men, and many children seeking protection, who have been fleeing repeatedly for months from the fighting in Gaza. The ministry demanded that these individuals not remain trapped between the fronts.
The ministry added that "people in Gaza, the hostages, and the entire region are in urgent need of the humanitarian ceasefire proposed by the United States, Egypt, and Qatar and the release of the hostages. It is now imperative to seize this opportunity to alleviate suffering."
Palestinian data reported that the Israeli attack that took place early yesterday, Saturday, on a school building being used as a shelter for refugees resulted in the martyrdom of dozens of people. Civil defense in Gaza estimated the number of martyrs to be at least 93 individuals.
