Special diplomatic sources tell the media that the United States sent a message to Lebanon regarding Israeli military plans, as Israel is planning a limited operation in southern Lebanon.

It explained that the disclosed information indicates that Israel wishes to infiltrate Lebanese territory up to 3 kilometers from the border, with the aim of "cleansing" the area of Hezbollah elements and facilities.

It also noted that Israel insists on turning the area into a "clean strip" and will not allow external factors to stop or disrupt the planned operation.

Additionally, Israel is holding firm to its demand for the establishment of a buffer zone 10 kilometers deep from the border, and the area between 3 and 10 kilometers from the border will be the responsibility of UNIFIL and the Lebanese army.

Moreover, Israel clarified that if UNIFIL and the Lebanese army do not fulfill their role in this area as required, Israel may take over the mission itself at a later stage.
