At the beginning of each year, wishing you a thousand good wishes on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan, and we hope it returns to you while you are in perfect health, happiness, and success, and that the coming month of Ramadan will be a month of fulfilling wishes for each one of you.

Also, I do not forget to point out that under the cruel, difficult, and highly complex circumstances affecting the lives of our people in the Gaza Strip, the pen has become incapable of expressing anything towards this humanitarian tragedy that contradicts values, laws, international justice, and human ethics. We hope that the bloodshed will stop and that individuals will initiate lending a helping hand and assistance according to their abilities to aid those afflicted there.

However, amidst the treacherous blows directed by some behaviorally and intellectually reckless individuals, and criminals in exile, one becomes perplexed about how these people can commit these criminal acts without concern for the extremely serious consequences of their actions.

Therefore, in the absence of awareness, religious restraint, and awakening of conscience, psychological defeat begins, and these defeated spirits prepare to welcome the month of worship with brokenness, indifference, and defiance of doctrinal and divine wills.

Hence, when a person looks into a concave or convex mirror, they will see themselves contrary to their true self; the image will either be inverted or larger than reality, forming a virtual image created by the fall of radiation and its reflection in the mirror, converging at a focal point to form the virtual image according to the law of reflection.

What I want to say here is that what we experience in the diaspora is a reality full of contradictions, perhaps humiliating and disgraceful, like the virtual image in the mirror—a distorted image in which balances have been reversed and conditions have changed. We lost our identity and cultural foundations and became like a lost person in the desert chasing a mirage, where the criminal violates our dignity without facing any accountability or deterrence. We entered the mirror's virtual image without its true nature, reflecting radiations that formed the shape and reality we are in. These radiations, which burn all our values, customs, traditions, and religious rules, are part of the tools of corruption and disruption that work to abort the awakening of the expatriate and prevent creativity and participation in building.

Therefore, what we see of decline in all aspects of our lives is due solely to our abandonment of our values, morals, and religion. We witness the hypocrisy of some religious men who have ascended the pulpits, and they are nothing but pawns moved according to their desires and personal interests. It seems they are implementing agendas set for them, which they must execute even if they contradict the interests of their communities and religious regulations. All of this has led to the emergence of a class of sycophants and blind supporters of falsehood at the expense of truth, who have turned balances according to their interests. The traitor has become honorable, the honorable traitor, the criminal righteous, the righteous criminal, the oppressor oppressed, and the oppressed oppressor. All this is due to the dominance of materialism and immediate interests in their behavior, denying their dignity and critical causes through working to undermine the foundations of social structure.

The standards people rely on today, especially in exile, in evaluating matters can differ. Many consider wealth, richness, and material value as the true measure of a person's worth and status. These are nothing but purely materialistic, narrow-minded measures, and may be temporary. A person who judges others on these bases looks at life through a very narrow lens; a person of noble lineage has no value to their lineage if their morals and religious and social values are degraded.

Therefore, what we see now is a state of obsessive intellectual and moral bankruptcy flipping the balances—the balances of truth flipped by people of falsehood with cunning. As a result, everything becomes completely reversed.

The good is evil, and the evil is good; the trustworthy is a traitor, and the traitor is trustworthy; the pious is corrupt, and the corrupt is pious; the truthful is a liar, and the liar is truthful; the executioner is a victim, and the victim is an executioner; the kidnapped is a guardian, and the guardian is kidnapped; the criminal is innocent, and the innocent is criminal; the just is oppressive, and the oppressive is just; the wise is foolish, and the foolish is wise.

Therefore, I say to some of those whose conditions have changed in the diaspora, beware of the betrayal of time, as today you have become fallen tools just like those whose conditions have changed in the homelands and became nothing but treacherous tools. We must return to history and learn lessons from it, for days are cyclical and do not remain the same, and victory will be the ally of the rightful despite neglect, denial, a weakened strength or argument, or the devil whispering to criminals that they are above the law. Falsehood is doomed even if it spreads, and religious regulations are a source of inspiration even if criminals hate them.

Therefore, it is not strange that today we face cases of human trafficking, kidnapping through intellectual deception, siege, brainwashing, violations of people's dignity, drowning in criminal activities, drug trafficking, plunging into the swamp of prostitution. Moreover, there are cases of encroachment on human rights, and some legitimize it in a flagrant phenomenon that reverses measures and amounts to a kind of madness in violating human, ethical, inherited customs and traditions.

What we live today is a reversal of the balances in dealing with the concept of individual freedom and societal security. Worse, it is a dangerous path threatening the societal creative environment that should be available to the individual, who is the basis of the family and proper social formation. Therefore, we find contradictory paths attacking individual and societal thought, which has become defeated before this truth that the reversal of balances has become dominant, and the false misleading narrative is reigning while truth is absent, mind is powerless, and unfortunately, the criminal is free and at large!.
