The Royal Canadian Mounted Police announced the arrest of a 33-year-old man in Ontario for making violent threats against Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in a video posted online.
The Integrated National Security Enforcement Team of the RCMP in the Greater Toronto Area began investigating these threats, and the inquiries and security investigations led to identifying the suspect, who was detained.
The security agencies also revealed the identity of the suspect, who is Dawud Zalewski, 33 years old and without a fixed address, and has faced two charges of making threats.
It is worth noting that the security agencies stated that the Royal Canadian Police takes all threats directed at citizens seriously.
