Air Canada says it is increasing its services to China, including daily flights to Beijing.
The airline states it will resume its daily flights from Vancouver to the Chinese capital starting January 15.
Additionally, Air Canada is working to increase the frequency of its flights from Vancouver to Shanghai to a daily flight starting December 7.
The airline currently offers four flights a week from Vancouver to Shanghai.
Mark Galardo, Air Canada's Executive Vice President of Revenue and Network Planning, states that the new flights reflect the importance of these markets in Air Canada's global network.
It is worth mentioning that at the peak travel period in the summer of 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic, Air Canada operated 35 flights per week to both Beijing and Shanghai combined.
