The authorities in Albania announced today, Wednesday, the severing of diplomatic relations with Iran, accusing it of a cyber attack, according to "Agence France-Presse".
In a statement, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama said that Tirana "has decided to sever diplomatic relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran with immediate effect."
Rama referred to a cyber attack that took place on July 15 against government institutions, noting that "a thorough investigation provided us with irrefutable evidence" that the attacks were "orchestrated and sponsored" by Tehran.
