The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, sent two messages to U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and the EU High Representative Josep Borrell, expressing concern over the deterioration of conditions in the Palestinian territories. The two messages emphasized the need for the international community to take action to stop the escalating violence and protect civilians, especially following the recent escalation that resulted in casualties. Aboul Gheit highlighted the importance of respecting international legitimacy decisions and ensuring the rights of the Palestinian people, including establishing their independent state, calling for concrete steps to support the two-state solution and achieve comprehensive peace.

Alongside the messages, Ahmed Aboul Gheit called for an active role from the United States and the European Union in advancing peace efforts, demanding pressure on Israel to stop practices that lead to rising tensions, such as settlement expansion and violations in East Jerusalem. He emphasized that the international community must take responsibility for protecting the rights of Palestinians and ensuring that all parties adhere to international decisions related to the conflict. He also pointed out the importance of the EU's role in enhancing cooperation with the Arab League to support stability in the region and address escalating crises.

In the two messages that Ahmed Aboul Gheit directed to Blinken and Borrell, he stressed the importance of the international community adopting effective steps to stop Israeli violations that include settlement expansion and acts of violence in East Jerusalem and the rest of the occupied territories. Aboul Gheit called for the protection of Palestinian civilians and enhancing international cooperation to support the two-state solution based on international legitimacy decisions. The messages highlighted the need for an influential European and American role in pressuring Israel to halt unilateral actions that exacerbate the crisis and hinder the peace process.
