An American court sentenced a Canadian man to 20 years in prison for his role in a number of cyberattacks involving the NetWalker program.
The U.S. Department of Justice announced the sentencing of Sebastian Vachon-Desjardins, 35, from Gatineau, Quebec, for his participation in NetWalker ransomware attacks, which targeted dozens of victims worldwide including:
companies, municipalities, hospitals and emergency services, educational areas, colleges, and universities.
