The Canadian Ministry of Health issued several recalls in November involving many children's products due to potential injury risks, as Canadian consumers prepare for the holiday shopping season.
Over the past two weeks, the Canadian Ministry of Health has issued four recalls involving children's toys, clothing, cribs, and changing tables.
Although no incidents related to any of the products have been reported, the recall notices indicate injury risks ranging from choking to death.
Several wall-mounted basketball hoop systems from Gadsetter have been recalled due to concerns about incorrect installation that could cause the hoop to fall, risking injury or death.
On Thursday, a recall was issued for the Professor Puzzle rainbow stacker toy due to concerns about a removable plastic sticker on the toy that could pose a potential hazard to children.
Consumers who purchased the toy in both Canada and the United States are asked to stop using it immediately and remove the plastic sticker found in the center of the wooden puzzle.
Also, on Friday, a recall was issued for several Harmony Play and Go Playard cribs and changing tables due to potential choking hazards for children.
Additionally, on November 7, the Canadian Ministry of Health issued a recall on several children's sleepwear items related to potential flammability concerns.
The products include the Ekouaer robe for girls size 110 (4-5T), long-sleeve swim cover 120 (6-7T), cotton bathrobe 130 (8-9T), children's coat 140 (10-11T), and a zip-up nightshirt with pockets 150 (12-13T).
Customers are also asked to contact Ekouaer for additional instructions and to receive a full refund.
