Washington: Start of the summit between the US president and the Jordanian monarch

The Jordanian monarch King Abdullah II and his wife Queen Rania Al Abdullah and Crown Prince Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, arrived at the White House this evening Monday, and they were received by the U.S. President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden.

Biden and Abdullah II are scheduled to discuss efforts to bring a permanent end to the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, according to the U.S. president in a tweet on the "X" platform.

Biden said he looks forward to discussing strengthening the strong ties with Jordan during his reception of the Jordanian monarch at the White House.
