Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal will visit Canada from April 10 to 12.
A statement issued by the Canadian Prime Minister's Office clarified that the visit provides an opportunity to strengthen work on shared priorities, including climate action, environmental conservation, building a greener economy, and growing trade.
The statement said: "We reaffirm our firm commitment to promoting the French language and Francophone cultures; protecting democracy and human rights around the world, including supporting Ukraine against Russia."
The French Prime Minister is scheduled to visit Ottawa on April 10 and 11, where he will meet with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to enhance bilateral cooperation, focusing on climate action. He will also meet with Canada's Governor General Mary Simon, and Gabriel Attal will visit the cities of Quebec and Montreal on April 11 and 12.
