The Renton Police Department wrote on "Twitter" today, Saturday, July 23, 2022, that police were called at one in the morning, where they found a number of victims, 5 of whom were treated for gunshot wounds.

The police confirmed the death of one person in the shooting, adding, "These are not active shooting circumstances."

They mentioned that a preliminary investigation indicates that a dispute occurred outside a large crowd leading to the shooting, possibly by more than one suspect.

The police department explained that many agencies were called to assist due to the large crowd, noting that investigations are ongoing in the incident.
