Canadians were surprised by the announcement of the marriage of the daughter of Ontario Premier Doug Ford to a young man of Iraqi origin, in a family wedding.
Kayla Ford, the daughter of the Premier of Ontario, Canada, announced her engagement to the Iraqi-Canadian young man Mohammad Hadi Kamouna.
Doug Ford is considered part of a prominent political family in Canada, and he holds the position of Premier of Ontario, the most populous province in Canada.
Ford is an important member of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario, the largest right-wing party in the country, and is considered among the candidates to succeed Justin Trudeau as Prime Minister of Canada.
Kayla Ford held her marriage ceremony at a party attended by family and friends at a hotel in the Canadian city of Burlington, and she sent a message of love to her husband Mohammad in a post on her Instagram account.
Ford wrote: “My love Mo, I love the life we have created together, I know we will continue to build our dreams as husband and wife, I love you forever.”
Doug Ford, who attended the party, wrote: “Congratulations to my daughter Kayla and her husband Mo on their marriage, our whole family is proud of you both, may God bless you in your future together.”
Canadian sources confirmed that Mohammad Hadi works as an officer in the Canadian police.
