The two automotive giants, Japan's Toyota and Germany's BMW, intend to collaborate in the production of electric vehicles powered by hydrogen fuel cells, according to the Nikkei newspaper, without disclosing the source of its information.
BMW will begin large-scale production of models of these vehicles in the coming few years, and Toyota will provide key components including hydrogen tanks.
Bloomberg news agency indicated that the two companies are set to sign a cooperation agreement on September 3rd.
