Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, criticized Apple for what he described as a "lack of innovation" and "arbitrary rules" during his talk on the "Joe Rogan Experience" podcast.
Zuckerberg pointed out that the iPhone was a great innovation at its inception, but Apple has failed to deliver any significant improvements since the device's launch.
He also criticized Apple's policies that he sees as arbitrary, such as charging fees to developers, which leads to higher prices for consumers.
Regarding Apple’s AirPods, Zuckerberg considered them excellent, but he criticized the company for its restrictions on other developers' ability to offer products compatible with Apple devices.
He also mentioned Apple's Vision Pro headset, which has seen disappointing sales compared to Meta's Quest headsets.
Apple has not responded to Zuckerberg's criticisms, further increasing the competitive tension between the tech giants.
